Queer City: A CNN Experience Thurs June 27 in NYC

USNA Out Member John Szubski '65 has been chosen to be part of Queer City: A CNN Experience during NYC World Pride.

His portion includes stories about being gay in the Fifties and Sixties, and being 'In the Closet' in the Navy, as well as his life with Tim Donohue. It also includes personal art works that he's created over the years.

CNN'S QUEER CITY is a uniquely intimate look at the everyday people behind queer history's landmark moments. This free multimedia museum experience goes beyond conventional LGBTQTA+ timelines to reveal the personal stories and artifacts that made up a movement, decade by decade from the 1940s through today. Discover coming out letters and answering machine messages, bar napkins and protest t-shirts, underground magazines and army uniforms, personal photos and home videos-the artifacts of one city's queer evolution. Featuring original CNN video content and installations.

This is a FREE event.

Annual Brunch Debrief!

The 2019 Annual Dinner, now Brunch, with Croquet was a smashing success. We had nearly 100 members and Midshipmen in attendance and would like to give special thanks to our sponsors: Deutsche Bank, Robert Beer, Kevin Scott, Knights Out, Barb Wujciak, and Dave Wolynski. Also would like to thank Annapolis Pride and the Chesapeake Bay Brewing Company for including us in their event Friday night for their PRIDE brew launch.

One of the best parts of this event was that in nearly 12 years of this event, this was the FIRST time that it was held on the Yard! We also raised nearly $12,000 before expenses for this event which means as we enter the 2019/20 Academic calendar year we can sponsor more events, help our Midshipmen, and continue to advocate for our members.

The 2020 event is tentatively scheduled for April 25th - tickets are already on sale on Facebook and Eventbrite

Knights Out 2019 Gala

Knights Out 2019 Gala was a great event this past April 6, 2019 at West Point.

Four USNA Out members and over 15 Midshipmen attended the event so that Navy had representation from Class of ‘65 to ‘22!

Also, with the help of Knights Out we were able to help the USAFA’s Blue Alliance cadets to join the event this year.

Be sure to join next year.
