I started at USNA in the summer of 1993 when “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” began. Since its repeal, I’ve thankfully been able to serve openly. It is a tremendous opportunity to continue to serve our country in the Navy and build on the legacy of LGBT alumni who have gone before me. Today’s USNA midshipmen have so many exciting opportunities- I’m a bit envious! I look forward to helping them all succeed in their personal and professional lives as much as I can.
